Born in Haiti and raised in New York, Suzette discovered her passion for serving God early, leading youth and choirs in Brooklyn for a decade. In 2007, she founded “Transformation,” a U.S.-based ministry that supports youth and young adults through camps, retreats, and conferences across New York, Georgia, Florida, and Haiti. Co-founding “Hope Outreach International (HOI),” Suzette dedicated herself to providing underserved communities with education, healthcare, and nutritious meals. HOI aims to provide Haitians hope and opportunities through dedicated programs and strengthened community ties.
In 2013, she launched “Living Beyond P3:5 Inc. (LBP3:5)”, a global women’s ministry empowering women to live with purpose and freedom through Christ. Based on Proverbs 3:5-7, LBP3:5 mentors women through conferences, retreats, and virtual groups. Since 2014, LBP3:5 has hosted women’s mentoring groups, conferences, and brunches in Haiti and the U.S. to bridge generational gaps for a stronger Haiti.
In 2014, with her family, she moved to Haiti as a full-time missionary. In 2015, she established the “Haiti Teen Challenge Women’s Program,” a discipleship initiative for young women seeking a fresh start. Additionally, she co-founded “Hope Community Church” in Bradenton, Florida, and “Rendez-Vous Christ Church” in Haiti with her husband Julio Volcy of 24 years, with whom she has four children.
Suzette's ministry work, which began in the early 1990s and continues today, has profoundly impacted communities. Through Hope Outreach International, she established outreach efforts in Lamothe (her husband’s village), including an Annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) that has reached tens of thousands of children with the Gospel and provided them with hot meals. Additionally, she created Bible-based literacy classes, founded a school for disadvantaged young adults, and opened a medical clinic. Her efforts made electricity and potable water accessible in Lamothe and neighboring areas, significantly improving overall living conditions. Suzette also provided disaster relief and initiated leadership training programs for pastors, ministry leaders, and teachers. She founded social businesses to support skilled women and graduates of Haiti Teen Challenge, ensuring they secure employment and become contributing members of society. She continues her support today by providing education and hot meals to over 500 children, food distribution, and scholarships for higher education in professional studies and university. In partnership with Rendez-Vous Church, they share the Gospel by hosting the RVC church campus within the HOI facilities in Cazeau, a gang-populated community. She conducts mentoring classes and organizes conferences and brunches for churches and para-church ministries, helping to bridge generational gaps. Her academic journey reflects her dedication to growth, with a bachelor’s in social work from the University of South Florida and a master’s in social work from Florida Gulf Coast University. She is completing a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling from Regent University. In 2023, she launched "Haiti Ladies at the Well—Fanm Ayisyen Arebò Pi a," a virtual space where Haitian women worldwide connect for Bible study, prayer, and mentorship. In October 2024, she convened 75 influential Haitian women to lay the foundation for a Mentoring and Coaching program set for 2025. She believes that mentorship will bridge the gap and build stronger communities across generations.
